Grass Valley, CA - NVISION, a leading
supplier of high performance routing switchers, master control switchers
and signal distribution equipment, has appointed two new employees to provide
enhanced service and sales support throughout the Europe, Middle East and
Africa (EMEA) region. The new staff members will be based in The Netherlands
at NVISION's Master EMEA Distributor, Axon Digital Design.
Arjen Hofland has been hired as Program Manager, and Rob Fransen as
Customer Support Engineer. "Both Arjen and Rob are dedicated solely to our
router and master control products," affirms Jay Kuca, NVISION's Director
of Marketing. "The new NVISION staff will be based at the Axon Digital Design
HQ in Udenhout, The Netherlands.
Arjen Hofland is a broadcast expert, and Rob Fransen is an experienced
customer service engineer. "As NVISION Program Manager, Arjen Hofland takes
on the commercial and technological responsibility of this router/master
control range in the EMEA countries," Kuca confides. "As NVISION Customer
Support Engineer, Rob Fransen heads our technical after-sales support in
the same region, thereby providing customers with a guaranteed high level
of product-related service."
Hofland worked previously for Axon Digital Design as Area Sales Manager
of the Synapse modular signal-processing range. He joins NVISION from Thomson
Grass Valley, where he served a number of years as technical Sales Manager.
"As a result of his working experience," says Kuca, "Arjen knows the broadcast
industry very well and has managed to build an impressive network of established
broadcast relations."
Fransen also is no stranger to the broadcast community. "Rob worked
for Sony Broadcast as Supervisor of Technical Operations," Kuca continues,
"where he developed an in-depth knowledge of broadcast technology. Fransen
joins NVISION from Imtech, a company specializing in service solutions,
where he served as a Service Engineer and mastered the art of technical
support.
All NVISION products destined for sale to EMEA customers will now carry
the Axon brand. "The decision to use the Axon brand for our products in
this vital region was a natural one," Kuca comments. "Already we have secured
major orders from such broadcasters as British Sky Broadcasting/BSkyB. To
further underscore our commitment to Axon, all of our router and master
control products will carry the Axon color scheme, styling and logos."
From January 1, 2005, Axon's Synapse series of terminal equipment will
be sold throughout North America via NVISION's domestic sales channel; the
innovative product line will also be rebranded with the NVISION logo.
Our new alliance with Axon comprises three complementary elements,"
Kuca explains. "First, Axon will represent NVISION in this vitally important
territory. Second, the company offers a range of terminal equipment that
is fully complementary to NVISION's range of routers and master control
systems. And finally, we are looking to collaborate with Axon on future
product designs."
"We see our close working relationship with Axon as an opportunity
to reach a growing number of broadcast stations and post production facilities
that are looking for high-technology master control and routing solutions,"
emphasizes Charles "Chuck" Meyer, President of NVISION. "Axon's operational
philosophy is complementary to ours - we foresee major benefits resulting
from this unique strategic alliance."
