Bricasti to spotlight innovative Model 7 Stereo
Reverb Processor plus new Model 10 Remote
at NAMM2009 Convention in Anaheim

“M7 provides a palette of sounds that encompasses the familiar as well as new expressions in the art.” Brian Zolner

Boston, MA: As a firm dedicated to the design and manufacture of the finest pro-audio products, Bricasti Design is coming to the NAMM2009 Show with the innovative Model 7 Stereo Reverb Processor, and the user-friendly Model 10 Remote Console. NAMM2009 will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center, CA, from January 15 thru 18; Booth 6953 | Hall A.

The new Bricasti Design Model 10 Remote Console is a dedicated hardware
remote controller for use with the Model 7 Stereo Reverb Processor.

Model 7 Stereo Reverb Processor features a revolutionary new reverb algorithm, True Stereo Reverb Process, which accurately creates true acoustic spaces. The M7 includes more than 100 powerful, truly unique reverb presets, including Halls, Plates, Rooms, Chambers and Ambient Spaces. The minimalist yet elegant user interface offers a total of 15 Parametric Program Parameters and 50 User Registers; four front-panel “Favorites” enable quick saves and A-B comparisons.

“Each design element of the Model 7 is a carefully considered statement of our vision of what the evolution of reverberation processing in its most classic form can be,” considers company president and co-founder Brian Zolner. “With a deep appreciation of the best designs which precede it, and a passion for moving the science of reverberation forward, the Model 7 provides a palette of sounds that encompasses the familiar as well as new expressions in the art. Listen to the new reference in reverb processing; it will bring new life to a project in a way unimagined by any process before it.”

The new Bricasti Design Model 10 Remote Console is a dedicated hardware remote controller for use with the innovative and highly acclaimed M7 Stereo Reverb Processor. “Sharing a consistent human interface with the Model 7 was an important design goal,” says Zolner. “Consequently, the Model 10’s control surface is simple, elegant and easy to use. The M10 puts control where and when you want it – at the critical sweet spot - while making acoustically sensitive adjustments within any mixing environment.”

Currently under development and scheduled for official release in Spring 2009, the Model 7’s V2.0 software includes Bricasti Design’s second reverb algorithm, which will push forward the state-of-the-art in larger-than-life reverb effects. “V2.0 also includes new work that brings new levels to the depth and size of sound in surround applications,” says co-founder/system designer Casey Dowdell.” The EPROM upgrade will be free-of-change.

Recent high-visibility users of the Model 7 Stereo Reverb Processors include:

Grammy® Award-winning engineer/producer Al Schmitt selected Model 7 for Capitol Studio sessions with Natalie Cole.

“An external reverb like the Bricasti Model 7 is perfect for the way I work. The M7's clarity and ease of use are outstanding. On muted brass, trumpets and vocals, in particular, the Model 7 is unmatchable. For me, it's a major breakthrough!”
The Natalie Cole CD project, tentatively entitled Unforgettable II, is scheduled for August release.

Producer/arranger/musician Rafa Sardina using two Bricasti Model 7 Stereo Reverb Processors on a number of successful CD projects

“I have used the M7 on vocals and orchestra … the M7 sounds great on drums. I used one M7 on vocals and the other on strings. It’s an extremely versatile unit!
“It’s the perfect reverb for tracking and mixing; the M7 provides a wide range of useable ambiences and reverb effects.”

Independent engineer/producer Chris Spilfogel raves about versatility and sonic quality of Bricasti Model 7 Stereo Reverb Processor.
“I need a reverb that can act as the ‘glue’ for my mixes. The new Bricasti Design Model 7 is just what I need. As soon as I heard the M7 at the AES Convention two years ago, I was hooked; I knew that I needed one for all my projects.
“I have never heard anything that sounds so realistic … just like a real room I couldn’t be happier with my Model 7.”
