Bricasti congratulates Model 7 user Cenzo Townshend
on recent MPG Award for “Best Mix Engineer”

I use the M7 for vocals, strings and pianos – it’s fantastic for producing vintage-type reverbs on percussion.”

London, UK: At the first-ever Music Producers Guild Awards, held in London, UK, on February 12, Cenzo Townshend received a coveted Best Mix Engineer award for his work with such artists as Kaiser Chiefs, Snow Patrol and Echo and The Bunnymen. Townshend has earned an enviable reputation as a first-call producer and mix engineer whose outboard rack was recently enhanced with a Bricasti Design Model 7 Stereo Reverb Processor; this busy professional is based at London’s Metropolis Studios. “The Model 7 has been used on everything I’ve mixed,” Townshend advises, “including Snow Patrol’s new album, A Hundred Million Suns, singles and album tracks on Kaiser Chiefs’ third album, Off With Their Heads, and the recent Howling Bells album, Into The Chaos.” Recent projects include mixes for U2’s forthcoming album, No Line On The Horizon, plus single mixes for Franz Ferdinand and the debut album for Hockey.

The Music Producers Guild represents the interests of UK record producers, music recording engineers, mixers and others directly involved in the production of recorded music. The Best Mix Engineer award was sponsored by Digidesign.
