Medford, MA: Now available through dealers worldwide, the remarkable new Bricasti Design Model 10 Remote Console is a dedicated hardware remote controller for use with the innovative and highly acclaimed Model 7 Stereo Reverb Processor. "Sharing a consistent human interface with the Model 7 was an important design goal," says company co-founder and president Brian Zolner. "Consequently, the Model 10's control surface is simple, elegant and easy to use. The new M10 puts control where and when you want it - at the critical sweet spot - while making acoustically sensitive adjustments within any mixing environment. Whether controlling one or multiple Model 7 processors, the M10 lets the user build a system to their precise needs." CAPTION: Following the same hardware design criteria as the Model 7 Stereo Reverb Processor, the Model 10 Remote Console's casing is milled from solid aluminum with an anodized finish, which ensures an enduring design and a classic look. One of the first customers for the new M10 was music-scoring mixer Alan Meyerson, who currently owns six Model 7 processors that are used to prepare separate 5.1-channel surround sound music tracks for motion-picture soundtracks. "The new Model 10 makes it very easy to adjust and refine my M7 reverb settings," the scoring veteran advises, "while I remain within the central 'sweet spot' on my console at my personal-use music studio, Yoakam Sound. With as many as six Model 7s on-line at a time, the remote control makes a great deal of sense. I might use, for example, three units on string elements and another three on brass: the first Model 7 for left and center, the second for right and center, and the third for surrounds. And for conventional stereo sessions, I might need to prepare as many as six separate stems. I love being able to store and recall every user parameter for each of my Model 7 processors." "All in all," Meyerson concludes, "the Model 10 is very slick looking and is fun to use; it's definitely the only way to work!" Recent projects for this busy music-scoring mixer include Inhale for director Baltasar Kormakur, with a score by composer James Newton Howard, and Angels & Demons for director Ron Howard, with a score by Hans Zimmer. Meyerson also worked on soundtracks for Iron Man with composer Ramin Djawadi, the animated feature Kung Fu Panda, and the Oscar(r) -winning The Dark Knight, with joint composers Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard. The Model 10 controls up to eight M7 processors, and features eight front-panel meters that display levels for four stereo audio sources, providing simultaneous metering of a quartet of connected Model 7s. "The new Model 10 uses the same clear and easy-to-read displays as we provide on the M7," explains Zolner, "with the same human interface - plus the addition of MACHINE and SETUP keys - so there is no need to learn something new! We also offer simultaneous control of the M7 from both the M7's front panel and/or the M10." About the Model 7 Stereo Reverb Processor The Bricasti Design Model 7 provides the highest level of musicality and ease of control imaginable in a processor dedicated to the task of reverberation. This modern high-resolution digital design, utilizing an array of the latest DSP processors, provides a platform for the long overdue next step in reverb-processing algorithms. A separate fully differential analog section and dedicated transformer-based linear power supply provide enhanced analog specifications.
