Bob Bert Session

Tangerine Mastering
recently completed a CD project for Bob Bert, the
legendary drummer from Sonic Youth and who now heads up his own
band, Int'l Shades. Handling the Luv & Terror CD
project was Andreas K. Meyer, who used Tangerine
Mastering's vintage Neve, SPL and EMI hardware, in addition to
the facility's Merging Technologies Pyramix DAW for editing and
sequencing.

"Last week we
finished re-mastering a compilation of tracks by The
Individuals," says Roger Johansen, "a band that was formed in
1979 in the New York City metro area through a Village Voice
ad that brought guitarist Glenn Morrow and drummer John Klett
together with bassist Janet Wygal and lead guitarist Jon Klages.
When John Klett left the band in 1980, he was replaced by
Janet's brother. Doug Wygal. With Gene Holder of the dB's
producing, this lineup recorded the EP Aquamarine, the
album Fields, and one single, 'Dancing with My Eighty
Wives'."
"It's interesting that Gene produced the record in 1980 and in 2007
is re-mastering the re-issue!". |
